Job description

Due to explosive growth, in the accountancy side of our multi-disciplinary consulting practice, Fusion Consulting is seeking a Bookkeeper to do Bookkeeping and Client related admin for Fusion Accountancy’s clients.

Working with our team of Accountants, you will be required to complete Bookkeeping and admin tasks for a range of SME businesses using industry leading tools.

Job Role and Responsibility:

  • Bookkeeping for SME businesses using Xero
  • Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
  • Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded
  • Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
  • Preparing trial balances
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Onboarding and offboarding of clients
  • Raising client letters of engagement
  • Liaising with HMRC and Companies house
  • Filing documents correctly with HMRC and Companies House
  • Updating Iris and managing ad-hoc tasks for the team
  • Scanning and filling post

Person Specification:

  • Advanced use of Xero (essential)
  • Xero certification (essential)
  • Experience with cloud-based software (essential)
  • 2 years + experience in a practice bookkeeping environment (essential)
  • Experience using Iris (desirable)
  • AAT Level 4 qualified (desirable)
  • Experience in dealing with the admin function of an Accountancy Practice, especially dealing with HMRC and Companies House (desirable)
  • Must be highly organised, proactive and a self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
