Data Processing Notice for Letters of Authority (LOA)

 

What we need

 Fusion Accountancy Ltd will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. Fusion Accountancy Ltd.’s company registration number is 11204808 and its registered address is: 298 Regents Park Road, Finchley. London N3 2SZ

Unless otherwise agreed with you, we will only collect basic personal data about you, which does not include any special categories of personal information about you (often known as ‘sensitive personal data’). This information does, however include the lines of your name, address, email address, phone number, pension plan information etc.

Why we need it

We need to know basic personal data in order to request information on your pension information from your existing pension providers so that we can then transfer this information to deVere Group in order to assess your current financial needs and make recommendations.

If you do not provide this information then we will be unable to request the information from your existing pension providers and subsequently transfer this information to deVere Group and then ultimately deVere Group will be unable to provide these services that you have requested.

We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide the services to you.

What we do with it

All the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff in the United Kingdom, however your existing pension providers may be located outside of the United Kingdom and as such we will need to send your LOA document to those providers in the jurisdiction that they are located within. In addition, deVere Group staff will process your personal data both in its back office in Malta (located at Centrepoint, 1st Floor, Dun Karm street, Birkirkara by-pass, Birkirkara, BKR9037, Malta) and in the local regional office where you instructed your deVere Group representative. Your personal information will be stored on a cloud-based system whose servers are located within the European Union.

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and more information on this can be provided upon request.

How Long we will keep it

We will generally keep your personal data for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purpose(s) for which it was obtained. If you consent to marketing, any information we use for this purpose will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
